If gay marriage is a problem for religion, there is always civil marriage. Civil marriage can be a simple solution to all of this unnecessary fighting over whether or not gays should be allowed to marry. By permitting civil marriage, religion could be taken out of the equation. The gay couples would be pleased because they are permitted to marry and the religious groups would be relieved of the pressure to change their rules.

If America can allow divorce, it can allow gay marriage, especially since there is scientific proof that children can be raised just as well in a gay relationship. America has put another obstacle in front of love, but together it can be overcome by allowing love to flourish in every way possible. So give love a chance, because times have changed, society has evolved, and America should give love room to grow.
